Lil Harmonies 2010 & Welcome to our new Primary Presidency

It's that time again - Lil Harmonies. This years theme is Soul and Mountfort Ward are singing songs from Diana Ross and the Supremes, The Four tops and Gladys Knight and the Pips. Practices are now on and we look forward to another awesome night.

On another note, we would like to send our love and appreciation to our previous Primary Presidency; Sis Leisa Siteine, Sis Noeline Haenga, Sis Ngawai Rangi and Sis Aranui Paniora. They have served in Primary for over four years and have been priviledged to be a part of so many children's lives, many of whom are now in the youth program. We appreciate all the time, effort and hard work put in to help our Primary grow and progress in the gospel.

We now welcome our new Primary Presidency into our Mountfort Ward Primary and look forward to more great works instore for our children. Our new Primary President is Sis Te Kaari Yancey, first counsellor is Sis Ngawai Rangi, second counsellor is Sis Vakaukamea and the secretary is Sis Aranui Paniora. We know they will do a wonderful job and Mountfort Primary will definitely benefit.

What's been happen'n so far in 2010

As you can see from the photo's, our first Primary activity was heaps of fun. It was held at the Botanic Gardens in Manurewa, where we all spread out on the grass with our popcorn and drinks, to watch the Night at the Museam 2. It started out as a bright summers day and about 10 mins before the end of the movie, it started to rain - not that it could dampen the fun we had that night.

The stake primary conference, held at Papakura on Saturday 13 March, was an awesome day with the workshops and mystery dinner. Those who attended gave back great positive feedback.

As for Primary business, it has been a wonderful start to a new year and all have settled in nicely to their various callings. Our numbers in Primary have increased which is great. As always we would like to thank our Primary teachers for their hard work and love they put into their callings and for progressing with their classes. We would also like to thank the bishopric for their guidance, love and support.

Welcome to 2010

Hi everyone and welcome to the Mountfort Primary page, 2010. My sincerest apologies for allowing our page to get outdated last year but I will endeavour to do my best to keep this site current and up to date each month. As it is a new year, we have a new theme:

The Primary Theme for 2010 is I KNOW MY SAVIOR LIVES.

We are now in February already which will see most of our children beginning or returning back to school and we would like to encourage all our children to apply what you are learning in your classes in your daily lives; like saying personal prayers and choosing the right. The ward activity was very successful and congratulations to all those who participated in our Sand Castle competition - they were so good our judges had a hard time decinding who the winner was. We have our next Primary activity coming up soon on Saturday 13th February - MOVIES IN THE PARK. It is held at the Botanic Gardents, Hill Rd, Manurewa, starting at 5.30pm. Bring a cushion, pillow, chair or picnic blanket to sit on, as well as a friend or less active class member and Primary will provide the popcorn and drinks.

We would like to welcome all our new teachers to primary as well as the existing ones and recognise all your hard work in helping the children learn about our Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ. A big thank you to those who attended the board meeting and we hope the night was informative and enjoyable.
As a presidency we are excited about what this year has in store and working together as a board.

Check out our page where you will find what's happening this month, themes, scriptures, songs ... who has the sharing time assignment this month ... and much more!
